Bankruptcy has not gone away. In a Chapter 13, if you owe more on your first
mortgage than what the home is now worth, the Bankruptcy Judge will order that the
2nd mortgage will be eliminated upon completion of your Chapter 13! We have done
dozens of Lien Strips (another term for deleting 2nd mortgages) over just the last
year.
